    Move Well. Be Well.

Research has shown that chiropractic offers an effective means to address back and neck pain, spinal disc problems, headaches, among other conditions. At New England Chiropractic Center, Dr. Fabris uses evidence-based chiropractic techniques and physiotherapies to get to the underlying cause of pain, and to prevent it from becoming chronic and recurring.
Dr. Fabris is certified in the Webster technique for pregnant women. This technique is a gentle and effective way to address low back pain and other discomfort associated with pregnancy by correcting imbalance to pelvic ligaments and musculature. Current literature supports the idea that restoring proper mobility to the pelvis and sacrum can help to create proper fetal positioning. Read more about the Webster Technique here.
Chiropractic techniques for children are gentle and effective. It can help a child in the development of proper joint mobility and posture and promote a healthy developing nervous system and immune system.
Chiropractic care can be used to address common athletic injuries as well as help in keeping athletes at the top of their performance. Often in different sports such as soccer, golf, tennis, among others, we use our bodies in an asymmetric way. Over time improper biomechanics may lead to restricted joints or overuse which can lead to injury. At New England Chiropractic Center, various adjusting techniques, physiotherapy, and muscle re-education are used to improve joint mobility, increase range of motion, and improve biomechanics.

Chiropractic Manipulation

Also known as a chiropractic adjustment, it serves to promote proper joint function and movement.  This is done by manually applying a controlled force to specific joints, most commonly of the spine, that are hypomobile, or not moving properly.  Mobility is restored, consequently relieving pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal. There are many different adjusting techniques used by chiropractors, and it is our responsibility as your doctor to identify what might work best for you. And if we feel that another office might have a better technique or service for you, we will refer you there.

The following techniques are utilized at our office:

Muscular Rehabilitation

Our first goal is always to decrease pain through treating the cause of disease or dysfunction. Our second goal is to make sure patients stay out of pain, or to decrease episodes of dysfunction. This is where muscular rehabilitation comes into play. In addition to proper joint mobility, proper muscular function is essential. Therefore most patients will learn several exercises and stretches to both do in the office and at home, as well as a plan to maintain musculoskeletal stability.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy serves to increase blood flow, facilitate healing and reduce inflammation. These therapies include electric stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound and heat/ice therapy.

Soft Tissue Technique

We use a variety of soft tissue therapy techniques, to help get blood flowing, loosen up muscle tissue, and flush out chemicals that promote inflammation.

Webster Technique for Pregnancy

Webster is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment used to address back pain and other symptoms such as sciatic pain, which can occur as a result of the biomechanical and chemical changes that occur throughout pregnancy. The goal of the adjustment is to address the effects of sacroiliac joint dysfunction and tight musculature and tissue that connects the low back and pelvis to the uterus. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved and in optimal shape for the birthing process. To read about the research for this technique please see

Functional Nutrition

Because proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle is such a large aspect of addressing chronic pain as well as in maintaining wellness, it is often incorporated into the treatment plan. Functional nutrition services include nutritional and herbal supplementation, GI Assessment, Food Sensitivity Testing, Adrenal & Stress Indexing/Support, Endocrine/Hormonal Panelling/Support.

Nutritional & Herbal Supplementation

Because much of our farmland soil in the US has been depleted of nutrients due to industrialized agricultural practices, we are sometimes not getting all of the nutrients we need from our foods and supplementing can be helpful. Other times, our bodies can use a boost in the healing process by supplementing with herbs or vitamins depending on which system of the body is depleted. When utilizing nutritional or herbal supplements, it becomes important to consult with your healthcare practitioner who is properly trained to assess, recommend, and oversee the use of them. All supplements are not created equal, and sometimes a poorer over-the-counter product may not actually be very absorbable by the body. At New England Chiropractic, we utilize high quality and absorbable natural products from companies like Standard Process and Metagenics, who maintain high quality control and only sell through qualified health practitioners to assure proper utilization.

services_giAssessment3

GI Assessment

Disease can often be traced back to an unhealthy digestive tract. This is why a healthy gastrointestinal tract is imperative for overall optimum health. Pathogenic organisms can commonly infect the GI tract, causing a variety of gastrointestinal symptoms. With this testing, saliva and stool samples, via private home collection, are used to identify bacteria, parasites, yeast, fungus, etc as well as any immune deficiencies within the GI tract. Intestinal markers are also used to detect inflammation and irritation, giving an overall status of gut integrity. This assessment allows for proper and specific treatment of GI dysfunction.

services_allergyTesting3

Food Allergy Testing

Gastrointestinal upset can often result from an IgG immune reaction caused by a delayed food allergy, also referred to as food sensitivity. Delayed allergies, unlike the common allergies detected using skin testing, can take up to three days to provoke symptoms. So they are difficult to determine without proper testing. If it is determined that a patient will benefit from food allergy testing, we use a blood test called an ELISA test to identify food allergies/sensitivities. We will then work with the patient to develop a healthy digestion system through proper nutritional changes and supplementation if needed.

services_adrenalStress2

Adrenal Stress Index Testing

The adrenal glands are the stress glands of the body. Other organs and glands, such as the liver and thyroid, depend on the adrenals for their own proper functioning. This is why overworking these glands can disrupt a variety of the body’s natural functioning abilities. Using saliva samples to be taken at various times throughout ones day in their regular environment, this testing allows for a thorough assessment of adrenal function and immunity.

services_femaleHormone

Female Hormone Testing

Hormonal imbalance can be the root cause of many symptoms experienced by women of all ages. Evaluation of hormone and endocrine function provides women with a glimpse into their own individual chemistry and is an effective tool in developing a customized treatment plan for various female health conditions.
